Open Land Trust Executive Director Patty Kennedy welcomed a group of Frank Lloyd Wright architectural experts from around the country and OLT members and supporters at a reception at Lowcountry Produce & Cafe on Carteret Street last weekend. This was the kick-off event for the biennial tour at Auldbrass Plantation which is a major fundraiser for the organization. The Open Land Trust preserves open land and open views in Beaufort County such as the recently completed stretch along Sea Island Parkway on Lady’s Island just past the swing bridge and boat ramp where a row of buildings were demolished to open up the lovely view of the water for all of us passing motorists.
