Sarah Elliott, a rising eighth grader from Lady’s Island, participated in the iTeams camp offered by the South Carolina Governors School for Science & Mathematics for the first time in Beaufort County. Her team designed a mobile app called “Life Saverz” that was designed to help users stay healthy and “Build a Super You.” At the competition on the last day of camp, “Life Saverz” was chosen by a panel of distinguished judges as the winning app. The camp focuses on innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship for middle schoolers.
