Suspect arrested in attempted armed robbery at Los Hermanos

A Burton man was arrested last week and charged with trying to rob Los Hermanos restaurant.

According to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office release, on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at approximately 4:15 p.m., BCSO deputies responded to an attempted armed robbery at Los Hermanos, located at 659 Robert Smalls Parkway in Burton.
According to the release, a male suspect entered the store, pointed a firearm at the cashier, and demanded money. He then left the area on a bicycle without taking any money from the store.
Deputies reviewed surveillance footage and identified the suspect as Kenneth Mikel Fields, Jr., 31, of Burton. Fields was located and confessed to the attempted robbery, according to the BCSO. He was arrested without incident and charged with attempted armed robbery.
