YMCA to host annual Exercise-A-Thon

Exercise your right to make a difference

The Wardle Family YMCA, located at 1801 Richmond Ave. in Port Royal,  will host its annual Exercise-A-Thon on Saturday, June 7, from 8 a.m. to noon. A variety of spin and fitness classes will be offered for a suggested $15 donation.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the YMCA’S 2014 Annual Scholarship Campaign, which helps guarantee that everyone, regardless of financial circumstance, can be can benefit from the YMCA’s values-centered programs like summer camp, afterschool, preschool, youth and adults sports, and health and wellness.

This event is open to members and non-members of the YMCA.

The schedule for the 2014 Exercise-A-Thon is:

Spinning:

8- 8:30: Lisa

8:35- 9:05: Susie

9:10 – 9:40: Sherry

9:45- 10:15: Emily

10:20 – 10:50: Phillip

10:55 – 11:25: Julia

11:30 – 12: Denice

Aerobics:

8 – 8:30: Pilates – Martha

8:35- 9:05: Strength – Stephanie L

9:10- 9:40: Interval – Stephanie B

9:45- 10:15: Tabata – Denice

10:20 – 10:50: Kickboxing – Jeff

10:55 – 11:25: Power Circuit – Gina

11:30 – 12: Yoga – Ginnie

Those interested in spinning are encouraged to reserve bikes ahead of time by contacting the YMCA.

The Annual Scholarship Campaign unites volunteers, donors and participants in building the strengths of children, families and individuals in the surrounding communities.  The number of children and families in need of the YMCA’s innovative programs and services grows each year. The Exercise-A-Thon is one of several YMCA geared toward raising funds toward this campaign
