Candlelight Walk4Love

5:15 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, First Presbyterian Church, Beaufort. Participants will walk from the church to the bridge and light up the bridge with battery-powered candles to honor abuse survivors. 9th annual Race4Love

9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, Cat Island. Hosted by Hopeful Horizons, presented by Stokes Toyota of Beaufort. Participants are limited this year. There will be COVID-19 considerations – Masks and physical distancing will be required; there will be no onsite registration; participants must pre-register; there will not be an in-person awards ceremony; winners will be announced on Facebook and listed on Race4Love.com; and awards may be picked up at Grounded Running. Prizes will be given to the top two males and females overall, and medals will go to the top three in each age division. All children age 9 and younger will receive medals. 18th annual St. Paddy’s Golf Tournament

Saturday, March 13, Ocean Creek Golf Course, Fripp Island. Registration is at 9 a.m. with a 10 a.m. shotgun start. The format is Captain’s Choice. All proceeds support the nonprofit Beaufort Water Search and Rescue and Fripp Island Sea Rescue, which provide 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week marine search and rescue, boater emergency and boater assistance in the waters around Beaufort 365 days a year. Cost is $75 per player and includes tournament fee, cart, range balls, prizes and lunch.. To register a team, you must get the name of four players – along with their email addresses, handicaps and phone numbers – to Bob Bicknell at 364 Wahoo, Fripp Island, S.C. 29920. Checks are to be made payable to Fripp Island Sea Rescue. The tournament is limited to the first 28 paid 4-player teams and will be closed when that number is reached.
