Sunset Rotary Second Annual Mini Golf Tournament

10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 10, Pirates Island Adventure Golf, Hilton Head Island. The Hilton Head Sunset Rotary is holding its second annual mini golf tournament to benefit Hopeful Horizons and The Children Center. Hopeful Horizons is a children’s advocacy, domestic violence and rape crisis center that works to create safer communities by changing the culture of violence and offering a path to healing. The organization provides safety, hope and healing to survivors through evidence-based practices, outreach, prevention and education. The Children’s Center is a unique nonprofit organization that provides working families with affordable high-quality and accessible early childhood education and childcare services. The tournament costs $25 per adult and $15 per person for younger than 14. Participants are welcome to play any time. Gigantic Zonta Yard Sale

8 a.m. to Noon, Saturday, Oct. 10, Robinson Grant, CPA Firm’s parking lot, 806 Boundary St. near Bellamy Curve leading onto Carteret Street.The Zonta Club of Beaufort will be having a giant yard sale. Proceeds will benefit all the Club’s many service projects in the community. Masks are required and social distancing maintained. Sale items include: tools, garden tools, furniture, fishing gear, golf clubs, hunting vests, bowling balls, paperbacks, puzzles, linens, baskets, chandelier, plants jewelry purses, household items and many items too numerous to mention.

Blue Bash and car parade

2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 10, Eagles Field at the intersection of Bluffton Parkway and Buck Island Road in Bluffton. The Bluffton Democratic Club and the Beaufort County Democratic Party invites voters to come out and hear from local candidates, including U.S. Rep. Joe Cunningham, and participate in a car parade. Voters can hear from the Democratic candidates, including Rep. Cunningham (U.S. House SC-01), Nathan Campbell (S.C. Senate District 46), Richard Hricik (S.C. Senate District 45), Mitch Siegel (S.C. House 118), Chris deVries (S.C. House 123), Barb Nash (S.C. House 124), and Jodie Srutek (Beaufort County Council District 7). After the rally, supporters are invited to decorate their cars or fly flags and join in a car parade through Bluffton. Hole-In-One Contest features a new golf cart courtesy of Beaufort Carts. Tournament benefits the Beaufort High Girls Golf, Wrestling, and Softball teams.
