The movies scheduled for this week (Friday, Oct. 13 through Thursday, Oct. 19) at the Highway 21 Drive-In are Taylor Swift – The Eras Tour (NR, 6:45 p.m.) and Taylor Swift – The Eras Tour (NR, 9:45 p.m.) on Screen 1; The Exorcist Believer (R, 7:30 p.m.) and The Creator (PG-13, 9:20 p.m.) on Screen 2; Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie (PG, 7:30 p.m.) and Haunted Mansion (PG-13, 9:05 p.m.) on Screen 3.

The Beaufort Tree Walk
Lady’s Island Garden Club invites you to take a meandering walk through the Historic “Old Point” and enjoy some unique and noteworthy trees. The “Walk” takes about an hour, is a little over a mile starting at the corner of Craven & Carteret streets in Morrall Park and concluding in Waterfront Park. Booklets with map and information about each tree are available free at the Visitors Center in the historic Arsenal on Craven Street.

Fripp Audubon Club: Habitat … It’s Not Just for the Birds!
7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 26, Fripp Island Community Center, 205 Tarpon Blvd, Fripp Island. Join us for our season opener as Al Segars discusses the importance and protection of our natural areas – habitat for all species. Segars is a native of Hartsville and a 1974 graduate of Clemson University. He received a DVM degree from the University of Georgia Veterinary School in 1983 and owned and operated a mixed animal practice in Hartsville for 14 years before moving to Beaufort in 1996. Three years later, Segars began working for the S.C. Department of Natural Resources. Most of his early work centered on shrimp diseases and sea turtles. Eventually he became stewardship coordinator of the ACE Basin National Estuarine Research Reserve. As a veterinarian for SCDNR, Al managed the SC Marine Mammal Stranding Network.
