Welcome our new intern

The Island News is pleased to welcome Hope A. Falls to its staff for the summer. Hope hails originally from Fincastle, Virginia, and is a rising junior at Clemson University where she is majoring in Graphic Communications and minoring in Business Administration. At school she is also the News Layout Editor for South Carolina’s oldest collegiate newspaper, The Tiger.

Her responsibilities this summer will include advertising production, graphic design, sales, newspaper layout, editing and photography.

“I’ve always wanted to live at the beach so interning for The Island News in Beaufort couldn’t be a better way to spend the summer!” said Hope.

While not at work, Hope enjoys running, hiking, shopping and cheering for her favorite football team, the Clemson Tigers.
