Beaufort Regional Chamber to hold Local First Business Expo: The Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce is proud to host the Local First Business Expo presented by The Technical College of the Lowcountry on Thursday, September 24 from 12:00 noon to 7:00 pm at the Beaufort Holiday Inn & Suites (2225 Boundary Street in Beaufort).  There will be over 50 exhibits and lots of great door prizes throughout the day. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend!  More information at  www.BeaufortChamber.org.  The Local First Business Expo provides an opportunity for the community to come out and see some of the products and services available right here in our own backyard.  By supporting our local businesses and buying local – you invest in our community, support local jobs, boost our economy, and celebrate the uniqueness of our region. Schedule of events for the Local First Business Expo:

• 12:00 noon: Business Incubation in Beaufort County, David Nelems, Executive Director at the Don Ryan Center for Innovation will be speaking at the Albergotti Grill (Beaufort Holiday Inn & Suites). The price is $5 for Chamber members and $10 for guests. Lunch will be available for purchase.

• 2:00 and 4:00 p.m.: Breakout Sessions, The topic of the breakout sessions is “What is an EMV chip and are you ready for it?” Help protect your customers and your business by using the latest credit card technology to keep their information safe. Drew Posta fromWells Fargo Merchant Services will be speaking in the Hospitality Room – 2nd floor (Beaufort Holiday Inn & Suites).

• 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.: Business After Hours at the Expo, This event will be held in the Expo Hall (Beaufort Holiday Inn & Suites). All are welcome to attend! Free for members and $5 for guests.
