TCL employees recognized as ‘Educators of the Year’

Three Technical College of the Lowcountry employees have been selected by their fellow employees as the South Carolina Technical Education Association’s (SCTEA) “Educators of the Year.”

The purpose of the association’s Educator of the Year awards is to provide annual recognition for outstanding service and achievement in the categories of faculty/teaching, staff, and administrator/manager in the South Carolina Technical College System.

TCL’s honorees include Christa Guicherit, Psychology Instructor, in the category of faculty; Curtis Bolden, Navigator, in the category of staff; and Taylor Welborn, Director of Recruitment & Admissions, in the category of Administrator.

The three will be recognized along with their colleagues from other South Carolina technical colleges at SCTEA’s annual conference in February where they will receive a certificate and a cash award of $100.

The honorees will also receive reserved parking spaces on campus for the 2024 calendar year.
