Spreading cheer with therapy dogs

From staff reports

On Tuesday, July 21, 10 Alliance of Therapy Dog teams conducted a Therapy Dog Parade at Sprenger Healthcare in Port Royal. Residents were stationed at their windows as the teams walked the perimeter of the facility to share smiles and joy.

“We have visited this facility regularly since its opening and all of us miss the residents and staff,” Rebecca Bass said in an email. “They were thrilled to see us and our amazing therapy dogs. I felt more emotional than I had anticipated – It was simply thrilling to see their smiling faces.”

The teams held up signs saying “We Love You” and “We Miss You” in case the residents were unable to hear through the windows.
