Sheriff addresses AAUW of Beaufort

Beaufort County Sheriff, P.J. Tanner, spoke at the November meeting of the American Association of University Women. The topic of his discussion was the “The Opioid Epidemic and Its Effect on the Beaufort County Area.” 

“The information and the statistics shared by the speaker proved enlightening by comparing the national trends with the situation in Beaufort County,” according to a press release.

A question-and-answer period followed the discussion.

In keeping with the mission of American Association of University Women, to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research, the AAUW Beaufort Chapter strives to provide programs and activities designed to inform and educate its members and guests.

The organization meets monthly from October to May.
