St. Paddy’s Golf Tournament benefits Beaufort Water Search & Rescue, Fripp Island Sea Rescue

The Beaufort Water Search and Rescue and Fripp Island Sea Rescue will hold their 18th annual St. Paddy’s Golf Tournament on Saturday, March 13 at the Ocean Creek Golf Course on Fripp Island.

Beaufort Water Search and Rescue and Fripp Island Sea Rescue are 100 percent volunteer member 501/(c)(3) organizations that provide 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week marine search and rescue, boater emergency and boater assistance in the waters around Beaufort 365 days a year. The group works hand-in-hand with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Department, the S.C. Department of Natural Resources and the U.S. Coast Guard, as well as other local, state and federal agencies.

The funds raised from this tournament makes the continued service of these organizations possible. You can help, in relation to to this golf outing, in three ways: as a player or team, as a business sponsor or as a personal sponsor.

Players

The tournament is limited to the first 28 paid 4-player teams and will be closed when that number is reached.

Cost is $75 per player. To register a team, you must get the name of four players – along with their email addresses, handicaps and phone numbers – to Bob Bicknell at 364 Wahoo, Fripp Island, S.C. 29920. Checks are to be made payable to Fripp Island Sea Rescue.

Cost includes tournament fee, cart, range balls, prizes and lunch.

Registration is at 9 a.m. with a 10 a.m. shotgun start. The format is Captain’s Choice.

Business sponsors

There are three levels of hole sponsorship – Gold is $500, Silver is $250 and Bronze is $100. Hole sponsorships receive prominent recognition during the tournament.

For a sponsorship, tournament organizers need the name of your contact person, your sponsor name, business address, phone number and email address. Checks are to be made payable to Fripp Island Sea Rescue (Tax ID No. 57-0767425).

Personal sponsors

There are five levels of personal sponsor – Platinum is $500 and above, Diamond is $250, Emerald is $100, Ruby is $50 and Sapphire is $25. Sponsor names will be prominently displayed on a banner at the tournament and in the program.

For a sponsorship, tournament organizers need your name, address, email address and the name to appear on the banner. Checks are to be made payable to Fripp Island Sea Rescue (Tax ID No. 57-0767425).

Donations are welcome at any time, but all sponsorships must be completed by March 3 in order to be recognized at this year’s tournament.

This year’s tournament is in memory of Bill Lyman, longtime chairman of the event.
