Riverview Charter continues administrative realignment

From staff reports

As part of Riverview Charter School’s administrative realignment, AnnMarie Bowden has resigned as curriculum leader. Her responsibilites will be taken on by others on the leadership team until a new director is hired later this spring.

“As we have moved through the COVID environment, and as we have looked at how can best deliver services to all our students both in-person and virtual, we found we can do a better, more efficient job by realigning our leadership team,” said Sarah Cox, interim director at the K-8 charter school in Shell Point.

Applications are being accepted through Feb. 5, 2021, for the director’s position. Details, including the job description, are available at www.riverviewcharterschool.org. The median salary is $95,000 and the position is being advertised nationally, although local and in-house candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

“The reorganization is something that’s been talked about for some time, and Ms. Cox made a good decision to tackle it now rather than later,” said Reece Bertholf, chair of the Riverview Board of Directors.
