Recycle your Christmas tree with Grinding of the Greens program

With the Holiday Season drawing towards a close, don’t forget to recycle your live Christmas tree with Beaufort County’s ‘Grinding of the Greens’ recycling program.  Drop off your tree for recycling at various locations throughout the County through January 7th.  As a result of this program, free mulch is then available for County residents beginning on the 7th… just bring a container.

Locations in Northern Beaufort County include Beaufort Plaza at the Plaza Theaters, Naval Heritage Park, Port Royal (by the Naval Hospital, Ribaut Rd), Family Christmas Tree Farm, Pleasant Point Road, and on Sea Island Pkwy next to Huddle House.

For more information on the program, you can go to http://www.co.beaufort.sc.us/calendar/events/Grinding-of-the-Greens.php, or contact the Keep Beaufort County Beautiful Coordinator, Veronica Miller, at 843-255-2741.
