Whatever’s on your mind, we want to hear about it and share it with our readers in a new weekly column called “Lowcountry Boil.”
All you have to do is call at 843-970-BOIL (2645) or email us at theislandnews@gmail.com with your thoughts on whatever issue is on your mind.
However, like most things in life, there are a few rules:
- Names of callers, their phone numbers or email addresses will not be published and The Island News will not use phone numbers or email addresses for any other purpose.
- Please keep your comments to about 50-75 words (that means a minute or two on the phone). We do reserve the right to edit comments for space, grammar or spelling.
- We won’t publish any comments that include obscenities.
- We won’t publish anything that is potentially libelous. For instance, if you got bad service at a restaurant, we won’t publish that restaurant’s name because we have no way of knowing if the comments are true. We won’t hurt the reputation of a business if we can’t verify the comment.
- Attacks on private citizens will not be published.
- We’ll do our best to publish as many of the comments as possible, but that doesn’t mean all of them will make the paper.
