Ann Gilbert, a practice administration professional with 30 years experience, has been named Beaufort Memorial Hospital’s vice president of physician services, responsible for managing the largest multispecialty physician group in the area.
With the acquisition last year of the Lowcountry Medical Group and Harrison Peeples Health Care Center, Beaufort Memorial Physician Partners now includes 40 physicians and 21 advanced care practitioners in 12 locations throughout Beaufort and Hampton Counties.
Gilbert comes well prepared for the job. Her extensive resume includes a three-year stint as director of network operations for New York’s Mount Sinai Medical Center, where she managed operations for 21 sites with 80 providers and 200 employees.
Most recently, she served as vice president of operations for Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics, planning, organizing and directing all clinical operations for a 350-physician group with 28 locations in East Texas.
“We are excited to have a person of Ann’s talent heading up our physician services,” said BMH President and CEO Rick Toomey. “As we grow our practice network, our goal is to continue to improve our services and consistently meet the expectations of our patients and the community.”
