Several community prayer gatherings have been organized in the Beaufort area for the coming weeks.
Participants will be praying for the community, county, state and nation. All churches, denominations, races, ages and genders are invited.
The first event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 20 at Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park in downtown Beaufort.
There will be a sidewalk prayer from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 12 on Sea Island Parkway, between Degullah Way and Eddings Point Road on St. Helena Island.
And there will be another event that afternoon, from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 12 at Whitehall Park on Lady’s Island.
