Help of Beaufort hosting oyster roast Saturday

HELP of Beaufort is hosting its All-you-can-eat Oyster Roast ad Pulled Pork Platter from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 8 at the Port Royal Community Beer Garden.

Tickets are $40 in advance, $50 at the door. Includes all-you-can-eat oysters, a craft beer, live entertainment and dessert.

The event was originally scheduled for Saturday Nov. 6, but it was postponed because of inclement weather.

Coastline welcomes SC State Senator Tom Davis

The newest episode of Coastline welcomes as guest S.C. State Senator Tom Davis, District 46 for Beaufort and Jasper County. Davis brings insight from the state on upcoming legislative procedures of South Carolina redistricting of representation.

With many future local investments from the federal and state level, Davis, the new chairman of the Labor, Commerce, and Industrial committee at the state level, has much to say about promoting our local area. Viewers can also learn about projects that the senator is working on for the state and policies that could benefit the citizens of Beaufort County.

This episode also features Beaufort County Public Information Officer Christopher Ophardt as a guest host. County’s Fralix speaker for January’s LIBPA Meeting

Assistant County Administrator of Engineering for Beaufort County Jarod Fralix will be the featured speaker for the Lady’s Island Business Professional Association (LIBPA) when it meets at 8 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 11.

The public is invited to stop by for coffee and conversation concerning the community. The meeting will be held at the Beaufort Realtors’ Association Headquarters at 22 Kemmerlin Lane, Lady’s Island.
