To help meet the growing demand for health care services north and south of the Broad, all of Beaufort Memorial Hospital’s primary care practices are now accepting new patients. In four of the practices, hours also have been extended to better serve patients.
The offices now accepting new patients include Beaufort Memorial Primary Care, Coastal CareMD, Lowcountry Medical Group, Lady’s Island Internal Medicine, Bluffton Primary Care and Harrison Peeples Health Care Center in Varnville.
Beaufort Memorial Bluffton Primary Care, 11 Arley Way, has begun offering appointments until 7 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays. The practice includes internist Dr. Erik Baker, family medicine specialists Drs. Roger Ulrich and Charles Sevastos and nurse practitioner Mary Ellen Groff. For an appointment, call (843) 706-8690.
Beaufort Memorial Lady’s Island Internal Medicine, 117 Sea Island Pkwy., also is open extra hours Thursday evenings. Appointments can be made as late as

For those preferring early morning hours, internist Dr. Andrea Hucks will see patients starting at 7 a.m. Wednesdays at Beaufort Primary Care, 989 Ribaut Rd. Along with Dr. Hucks, the practice’s primary care team includes internist Dr. Steven Kessel, physician assistant Paul Schaefer and nurse practitioner Ronda O’Connell.
