State Senator Mia McLeod, a Democrat representing District 22, encompassing Kershaw and Richland Counties, makes remarks to supporters during a meet-and-greet Sunday afternoon at the Island Grill on Martin Luther King Blvd. on St. Helena Island. McLeod said if elected governor of South Carolina she would be in favor of increasing the minimum wage to $15 per hour or more, increase unemployment and Medicare benefits.
