Last Friday, LowCountry Habitat for Humanity celebrated their 25th anniversary with a low-key event at the Shed in Port Royal. On hand to provide great food and wine (plus some interesting beers, too) were some of the best local restaurants and caterers. The goal of the event was to raise $60,000 to build an additional house this year and given the wonderful array of silent auction items and a live auction offering the services of many dedicated and talented volunteers to handle just about anything on your “honey do” list it was sure to be a big success. What a great way to cross some of those chores off your list – get the garage cleaned out and help one of your favorite charities at the same time. It was a fun evening for everyone!
