Longtime furniture store closing

Lifestyle Furniture by Mama’s of Beaufort is closing after 30 years in business. Mama’s started selling used furniture and consigned furniture in the late-1980s, then in the 90s moved to selling new furniture domestic and imported furniture. In recent years, the store added a large selection of coastal furniture and accessories.

Store owner Phil Heilker said three decades is long enough, and he is ready to make more time for golf and travel.

A store closing sale is underway at the store’s 1800 Boundary Street location and will continue until all furniture is sold at some price. Current deals include 50 percent off all mattresses and accessories, and furniture prices have been reduced 15 to 50 percent.
