Bob SOfaly photo Penn Center held it’s annual production of The Nativity Scene on Sunday at the center’s Frisell Community House on St. Helena Island. The Nativity Scene is an adaptation of its orginal roots, The Mystery play which was produce from 1916 through 1953. During the play, Christmas carols and spirituals were sung off stage by students and a reenactment of the Nativity was produced. The original production was held in Penn’s Darrah Hall, according to this year’s program.
