Lighthouse Center Ice has opened on Sea Island Parkway on Lady’s Island, across from Beaufort High School, next to Carolina Custom Carts in the Lighthouse Center. It’s an ultra-convenient self-service coin operated vending spot with a HUGE parking lot built just for your truck and boat trailer. (And the ice is only $2 per 20# bag, which is one of the best local prices too!) Great idea, and perfect to stop at on your way out for the day.
Have you ever packed up the boat, got all the gear, kids, food, and everything together for your day on our local waters, or packed up the car for Hunting Island to go and enjoy the beach for the day? Then, you need ice to finish off the cooler(s), so you go to the gas station, fighting through the lot with boat in tow, etc…
We’re happy to say that it seems to no longer be an inconvenience.
