LEO rally Saturday

From staff reports

“Local concerned citizens” are  hosting “A Back the Blue and 1st Responders Rally” at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22 at the corner of Ribaut Rd. and Boundary St. in the old Piggly Wiggly parking lot.

Community members are invited to show their appreciation for our law enforcement officers and first responders by showing up and waving flags and their own home-made signs.

This is a non-political rally to honor our men and women who put their lives on the line to keep our community safe.

The hosts encourage safe COVID-19 practices and civil conduct, which includes:

If medically possible, please wear a mask.

We understand if a medical condition prohibits you from mask wearing, so please attempt to remember safe distancing.

Please do not impede vehicle or pedestrian traffic.

Above all, have fun.
