Legion Post 207 offering food, kids books for parade goers

Beaufort’s American Legion Post 207 will be offering plates of food and free children’s books for the public and parade goers following the Beaufort Veterans Day parade Thursday.

The Beaufort Veteran’s Day Parade, scheduled for 10 a.m., will follow a route from the Beaufort National Cemetery, down Boundary Street, onto Bay Street, and will end at the intersection of Boundary and Bladen Streets.

Immediately following the parade, the Beaufort American Legion Post 207 will have a fish fry at their building, located at 1113 Harrington St., and provide plates to the public for $10 a plate. The proceeds will go to support the Post and their community programs. Free books for children will also be available.
