JPII claims SCISA state title

John Paul II swept all eight races to claim the SCISA State Sailing Regatta championship Friday at the South Carolina Yacht Club.

From the first race to the last, the Golden Warriors were in control, winning each race and taking several of the contests by several boat lengths. 

JPII claimed the title with a perfect score of eight points, easily outpacing runner-up Porter-Gaud (20). Hilton Head Christian Academy (26) was third, followed by Hilton Head Prep (39). 

The winning squad was made up of Neil Bunce, Caroline Gilmour, Sara Sullivan, Thomas Mazzeo, Michael Fitzgibbons, and Andrew Todesco.
