Hilton Head Regional Healthcare Welcomes Four Cardiovascular Specialists

Hilton Head Regional Healthcare (HHRH) is pleased to welcome four cardiovascular specialists.

Dr. Jay Kalan, Dr. Jonathan MacCabe, Dr. J. Calvin Sharp, and Dr. Douglas Westveer began seeing patients at Hilton Head Heart locations on May 7th. They’ve joined Dr. Aaron Ford, Dr. Mark Lawton, and Monica Riley, DNP. 

“These outstanding physicians have served countless families in our communities for years and we are thrilled that they are joining the Hilton Head Regional Physician Network,” said Jeremy Clark, Hilton Head Regional Healthcare CEO. “Their skill and expertise are highly admired by the medical community and we consider it an honor to have them join us as we continue offering a full range of advanced cardiology care and treatment options closer to home for patients and their families.”


Dr. Jay Kalan earned his medical degree at Virginia Commonwealth University and completed an Interventional Cardiology fellowship at the University of Virginia Medical Center. Dr. Jonathan MacCabe earned his medical degree at the University of Tennessee and completed fellowships at Tulane University and Vanderbilt University. Dr. J. Calvin Sharp earned his medical degree and completed a cardiology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Douglas Westveer earned his medical degree at Michigan State University and completed a Cardiology Electrophysiology fellowship at the University of Illinois.
