High school baseball: Eagles edge Fort Dorchester

Beaufort High pitcher Andrew Smyth tossed a complete game shutout to lead the Eagles to a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Fort Dorchester last Saturday.

Smyth limited Fort Dorchester batters throughout the game.

Offensively, Jordan Clegg and Alex Tokar led Beaufort High with two hits apiece in the matchup.

After claiming the hard-fought victory over Dorchester, Beaufort High slipped back into the loss column last Monday, April 14. Cane Bay managed to double up Beaufort High 4-2 in the HIT tournament.
