GOP Candidate Visits Beaufort Thursday

By Gene Brancho
Rick Perry, current three-term Governor of Texas and candidate for the GOP nomination for the U.S. Presidency in the upcoming 2012 election visited Beaufort today. He’s currently on a tour that will take him thru Beaufort, Okatie, and then upstate to Greenville before it ends.
Here he discusses politics earlier this afternoon with State Rep. Shannon Erickson, and Kevin Cuppia, owner of downtown’s Modern Jewelers.  Rick enjoyed Blackstone’s Cafe today, along with a few stops at some of our downtown retailers and art galleries, accompanied by his Secret Service detail.
