Girl Scouts kick off season

In spite of the pandemic, the Girl Scouts of Troop 4105 were still able to enjoy fellowship with social distancing and carry on a Scout tradition, bonding together, cheering, making sundaes and banana splits at their Ice Cream Social to kick off the 2020-2021 season on Sunday in the Jenkins community on St. Helena Island.

The Girls Scouts will be hosting the 4th annual Cancer Walk on Saturday, Oct. 31, from Community Development Corporation (CDC) behind Gullah Grub at 10 De Gullah Way, St. Helena Island, to Eddings Point Road. Free registration begins at 9 a.m., and the walk starts at 9:30 a.m. Light refreshments will be served.

For more information, call 843-441-6522 or email girlscout4105@yahoo.com. Face masks and social distancing is required.
