Friends of Caroline hosting annual butterfly release

On Saturday, April 27, Friends of Caroline will host “Release & Remember, A Community Butterfly Release” at 11 a.m., at Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park, in downtown Beaufort. 

People are invited to celebrate the memory of ones they love as butterflies are released over the Beaufort River. Butterflies can be purchased for $12 in memory of a loved one. 

Butterflies can be picked up at the event beginning at 10 a.m. The program will begin at 11 a.m. with a few words from Friends of Caroline Coordinator of Support Services Steve Scudder, a reading from Battery Creek High School senior Quinnie Clark, and a musical performance by Elaine Lake.
