Four injured in Robert Smalls Wreck

Burton and Beaufort/Port Royal firefighters responded to a motor vehicle collision on Robert Smalls Road that resulted in injuries to four occupants, one of which is potentially serious. 

Just before 8 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 10, Burton and Beaufort/Port Royal fire departments responded to a reported crash on Robert Smalls near Goethe Hill Road. Firefighters arrived to a two-vehicle collision, with both vehicles sustaining heavy damages.  

Four occupants were injured, one of which had potentially serious injuries. Two units from Beaufort County EMS also responded.  

Traffic on Robert Smalls was delayed for over an hour while emergency crews assisted the injured and removed roadway hazards.
