Georgia Southern announces Spring 2020 Dean’s List

Georgia Southern University recently recognized approximately 4,200 students for excellence in academics on the Spring 2020 Dean’s List.

Among those honored were Beaufort’s Sara-Jo Christensen (29907) and Kassidy Stefanski (29906).

To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must have at least a 3.5 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.

Georgia Southern University, a public Carnegie Doctoral/R2 institution founded in 1906, offers 141 degree programs serving nearly 26,500 students through nine colleges on three campuses.

Beaufort’s Heath makes Georgia Southern’s Spring 2020 President’s List

Georgia Southern University recently recognized approximately 2,800 students on the Spring 2020 President’s List. Kaeley Heath of Beaufort (29907) has been named to the list for excellence in academics. To be eligible for the President’s List, a student must have at least a 4.0 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.

Guobaitis awarded degree from Alabama

Laura Guobaitis of Beaufort (29902), received a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Alabama during summer commencement July 31-Aug. 2.

The University of Alabama is the state’s oldest and largest public institution of higher education.
