Riverview Charter School earns major award, readies for open enrollment
Riverview Charter School has received the Innovation in Community Partnerships Award from the Public Charter School Alliance of South Carolina.
“Our mission has always been clear. We nurture the whole child, engage families, and create meaningful learning experiences that prepare students for a global society.” said Erica Martin, Chair of the Riverview Charter School Board of Directors, in a news release. “These awards honor the visionaries who built Riverview and reflect the remarkable work of our students, teachers, staff, families, and community who bring our mission to life every day.”
Riverview is also preparing to welcome new families for the upcoming year. Open enrollment for the 2026 school year will run from Jan. 1 through Jan. 31. Riverview accepts applications from students across Beaufort County in Kindergarten through 6th grade. All applications submitted during the window will be included in the public lottery held in early February.

Beaufort’s Rauscher named to Dean’s List at Belmont
Beaufort’s Kimberly Rauscher has been named to the fall 2025 semester Dean’s List at Belmont University. Approximately 55% of the University’s 6,934 undergraduate students qualified this semester.
Dean’s List eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.Located near the heart of thriving Nashville, Tenn., Belmont consists of nearly 9,000 students who come from every state and 33 countries. The University is nationally recognized for its innovative approach as well as its commitment to undergraduate teaching.
