A lengthy drug investigation by the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office led to a pair of arrests and a large seizure of narcotics and fireams last week.
According to a BCSO news release, following a months-long investigation into suspected drug activity in the Poppy Hill Road area of Beaufort, the BCSO executed two search warrants on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at homes on Sandstone Circle and Poppy Hill Road.
As a result of the operation, deputies arrested two individuals on the following charges:
- Marvin Letony Huggins, 38, of Beaufort, facing charges of trafficking cocaine, sale and distribution of cocaine (x3), manufacturing crack cocaine, and possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine.
- Robert L’Antonio Drayton, 45, of Beaufort, facing charges of trafficking cocaine, sale and distribution of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, manufacturing crack cocaine, sale and distribution of crack cocaine (x3), possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and possession of a weapon by a felon.
During the searches, according to the BCSO, deputies seized cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana, firearms and cash.
