U.S. Navy Cmdr. Andy Litteral, Public Works Officer, escorts Thomas W. Harker, Acting Secretary of the Navy, through the new rifle ranges at Weapons and Field Training Battalion on Thursday, April 1, during his visit aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island. The visit provided an opportunity for Harker and the Chief of Staff for the Secretary of the Navy, Thomas Ross, to observe recruit training and interact with recruits and permanent personnel aboard the installation to better understand the operations, unique geography, environment, and facilities of the depot.
