Center for the Arts hosts The Nutcracker this weekend

Join a cast of 60 local ballet dancers as they recreate the magic of the Nutcracker, the world’s favorite holiday ballet, at USCB’s Center for the Arts at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15, and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 16.  

Beaufort’s Community Nutcracker is directed by Melissa Derrick, who studied classical ballet in Brazil for more than 15 years and has taught ballet in Beaufort for 14 years. Guest artist Felipe Puletini will join the cast as the Nutcracker Cavalier and soldier.

Tickets are available online at www.uscbcenterforthearts.com – where audience members can select specific theater seats ranging from adults $20, seniors $18 and students $14.  Tickets may also be purchased by calling the USCB Center for the Arts Box Office at 843-521-4145. The performance will be at the USCB Center for the Arts at 805 Carteret Street in downtown Beaufort.
