In appreciation for reporting a tag recapture, anglers receive a T-shirt or hat from DNR and both the angler who tagged the fish and the angler who reported the recapture receive a report that gives the history of the fish. Included in the report are the date, location, size, and angler who originally tagged the fish as well as equivalent information on the recapture.
