Burton Fire extinguishes vehicle fire

Just after 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 25, Burton Fire District firefighters responded to a reported vehicle fire in Grays Hill at the Shell Food Mart on Trask Parkway at the intersection of Clarendon Road. 

Fire crews from the nearby Grays Hill fire station on Bruce K. Smalls Road arrived in minutes and reported smoke and flames coming from a vehicle only feet from the nearby gas pumps.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire without further damages to the pumps or other vehicles. No injuries were reported.

The fire is under investigation.
