Burton Fire, Beaufort County EMS rescue injured occupant

The Burton Fire District and Beaufort County EMS rescued a seriously injured occupant from the three-vehicle collision on Stanley Farm Road on Tuesday afternoon.

Just after 4 p.m., the Burton Fire District and Beaufort County EMS responded to a reported motor vehicle collision on Stanley Farm Rd. Fire crews arrived on scene and reported a three-vehicle collision, with one vehicle on its side in a water-filled ditch.

Using a ladder in the ditch, Burton Fire District and Beaufort County paramedics were able to stabilize and free the seriously injured occupant in less than 15 minutes.

Two people were transported to the hospital with potentially serious injuries. Stanley Farm Rd. was closed for approximately one hour.
