Re-enactors from the 79th New York Highlanders occupy The Arsenal once again to demonstrate what life was like for Union soldiers occupying Beaufort during the Civil War. Saturday was the anniversary of the end of the Battle of Port Royal, which surrendered Beaufort and Hilton Head Island to Union forces in 1861.
