This award is given for exemplary performance in the classroom as a team during the 2011-12 academic year. The NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) annually recognizes college and high school soccer programs that have excelled in the classroom, in addition to their work on the pitch. A total of 360 high school teams (137 boys, 223 girls) throughout the United States have earned the NSCAA Team Academic Award for exemplary performance in the classroom as a team during the 2011-12 academic year.
