Beaufort Historic Foundation’s day camp teaches local history

Lise Sundrla helps some of her summer campers under the watchful eye of John Mark Verdier during the Beaufort Historic Foundation’s summer day camp Wednesday in the basement of the historic Verdier House. Ten area children took part in the day camp last week and studied the history of downtown Beaufort as well as its commercial and residential architecture within the Beaufort’s National Landmark Historic District.
