Beaufort High’s boys tennis team is putting together another impressive playoff run, as the Eagles rolled past their first two opponents in the postseason to advance to the Class 4A Lower State finals. Beaufort was set to try to punch its ticket to a second consecutive state championship match Wednesday at Myrtle Beach.

Coach Dave Riedmayer’s team blanked Aiken 6-0 in its playoff opener before ousting Region 7-4A rival James Island 4-2 on Monday. If they knock off the Seahawks from the Grand Strand on the road Wednesday, they’ll head back to Florence for the state title match at 10 a.m. Saturday.
