Beaufort High bounced back from a rough opener at the Gilbert Tournament to claim two wins and a hard-fought tie, and May River swept the competition at the Battery Creek Dolphin Invitational to highlight local high school baseball action last week.
Local softball teams started their season last weekend, as Beaufort went 2-2 at a preseason tournament in Summerville before falling to Stratford on Monday, and Battery Creek and Whale Branch dropped their openers.
