BA drops tourney title game to Class 5A Stall

Beaufort Academy’s girls battled hard against SCHSL Class 5A Stall on Saturday, falling to the Warriors 54-44 in the championship game of the Battle of the Lowcountry at Cathedral Academy.

Tahleea Heyward had a strong 13-point outing and Mary Hanna Hiers scored 11, but the Eagles couldn’t contain Stall’s Jadein Haynes, who led all scorers with 16 points.

Mike’Ala Washington joined Heyward and Hiers in double figures with 10 points, and Kamirah Freeman added nine while earning All-Tournament Team honors.

Beaufort Academy (1-1) hosts Bridges Prep on Friday.
