Three natives of Beaufort — all first cousins and grandchildren of Beaufort’s Ed and Mazie Atkins — celebrated Veterans Day while serving their country. Regina C. Bolden of Lady’s Island, a Beaufort High and USC Aiken graduate, is enlisted in the U.S. Navy.

Her parents are Bernie and Regina Jefferson and Curtis Bolden. Edlynn Atkins of Eustis Community is a major in the U.S. Army stationed at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. Her mother is Earnestine Atkins of Beaufort. 2nd Lt. Kevin Atkins is a pilot in the U.S. Air Force. His parents are Curtis and Rachel Atkins of the Eustis Community. Submitted photos.
