The Beaufort Memorial Pratt Emergency Center team marked a milestone last week with the 500,000th patient visit since the opening of the new ER just longer than 10 years ago. The milestone comes as Beaufort Memorial prepares to invest approximately $750,000 in improvements to the Emergency Department. The project includes the addition of a psychiatric-safe evaluation unit inside the ER to help manage the needs of at-risk patients.
